Dogs and Cats
In the story "The most Outrageous Day", I have tried to convey the unusual part played by stray dogs in the everyday life of people in Bangalore. The density of dogs is unbelievably high and on a usual day one might come across more dogs than people. Some people think that there is not much difference between them.
Five men and a Scooter (English Version)
Around the summer of 2001, near the peak of my cricket crazy days, happened an incident that has all the makings of a splendid story. It involves 5 insanely adventurous cricket crazy people, a single scooter and a policeman.

The most outrageous day.
And probably the worst day of my friend's life...
We were 3 friends, lets call the other two Misaal and Tungar, who were returning home in a Maruti 800 car, after celebrating some occasion at about 8 in the night.
We all had had a few drinks... namely, I had 60 ml of vodka and Tungar had double the amount of vodka and some beer running through his veins, and it showed too. He was sitting in the back seat and singing loudly and swearing at whoever overtook us. Misaal had water and lemonade for his share of the drinks, and probably a taste of the vodka.
A Long Jump Bet
This is an account of an incident which happened during the same time frame as The Incident of the Heckling Spectator
Once upon a time in the land of Mordor... actually, I mean Madangir, (not much difference for mere mortals who venture out in ignorance) was held a cricket tournament. Our team had flocked to see the match being played between UT1 and UT2 (UT = Unknown Team). There was this huge buildup to this match with expectant crowds and all, which lasted exactly 5 minutes into the second innings.
The Incident of the Heckling Spectator
Here, I start the process of reminiscing old events and stories with one of my favorite topics and places... Cricket in Madangir (South Delhi), my childhood and teen home.
This will also form a basis for the upcoming stories as most others also happen in this part of the world, and with mostly the same set of people.
